Tidy spaces.

Today I had a rare hour to myself. My daughter was napping and my son was being collected from school by a family member so I decided to stop procrastinating and do something that I have been thinking about doing whilst trying to fall asleep every night. That thing was to tidy our little craft cupboard.

Since my son was two years old it has been stashed with colouring pens, pencils, paper, card, colouring books and catalogues, magazines for cutting out and sticking.  My son and I like to make cards and wrapping paper using leftover scraps of pretty things and anything which may take our eye in a magazine or mail order brochure, that kind of thing. We used to keep our cupboard in an orderly fashion but since my daughter arrived almost 16 months ago it has been severely neglected.

Last year I passed my driving test at the age of 29. This year I am going to learn to sew. I am very excited about this.

The clean up of the craft cupboard has almost been like a nesting thing, in preparation for my new hobby and I am hoping to stash it with fabric and threads.  I feel good about this, almost as though a new chapter is about to begin.
